The Maritime Network of Women (M-NOW) is a dynamic group dedicated to propelling women’s professional advancement in the shipping, logistics and transportation industries.

Irene Rosberg

Founder & Honorary Member

Irene is the Director of the Executive MBA in Shipping and Logistics (The Blue MBA) at Copenhagen Business School (CBS), Europe’s leading institution of its kind. From the beginning, she has been responsible for the design, development and co-ordination of The Blue MBA. On behalf of CBS, she has a fundamental role in building global relationships and networks within the maritime industry. She also promotes research identifying challenges and future issues for the maritime industry as a whole.

She is a member of many international boards and committees. Based on her extensive international network and experience, she has been entrusted with major roles in varied maritime-related activities, speaks at leading maritime events and holds leading board positions. At a recent survey she achieved No. 1 place for the top 100 women in the shipping industry for two consecutive years: 2020 and 2021.

Monika Lubszczyk

PRESIDENT 2024-2026

Monika is a strategy-driven professional with a background in procurement, innovation, and equipment operations in the global shipping and logistics industry. In her current role at Maersk, she leads strategic development for container flow and availability, with a focus on long-term planning, cross-functional collaboration, and operational efficiency. Prior to this, Monika held roles in fleet management and procurement, where she worked on digital transformation initiatives and supported leadership development across complex, multicultural environments.
She holds a strong interest in developing inclusive and value-driven solutions and is passionate about creating spaces for women to grow and lead in maritime. Monika is also actively engaged in mentoring and international networking initiatives to strengthen professional communities across the sector.

Jayme Gartner-Demarchi

BOARD MEMBER 2024-2026

Jayme is a seasoned leader with start-ups supporting strategy planning and execution in areas of technology, international supply chains, and healthcare. Jayme holds many years’ experience in the global maritime and supply chain management areas working with carriers and shippers in the Americas and Europe. As a leader with start-ups, Jayme has been instrumental in supporting strategy planning and execution in diverse fields, including technology, international supply chains, and healthcare. 

Born in the U.S., Amanda has a BA in Business Administration from the University of Tennessee and an MBA in International Business Systems from Loyola Marymount University. Amanda served previously as a Board Member and Chairwoman of the American Chamber of Commerce, Vietnam during the periods of 2016-2020.

Mette Rosenby

Mette joined Bureau Veritas (BV), Marine & Offshore, Denmark in 2008 as Contract & Administration Manager. Mette leads in various aspects of daily operations, including contract management of classification and statutory services, ISM & ISPS audits and MLC inspections. In her role, she is responsible for the monthly financial reporting for BV Nordic countries, developing the budget under various categories in addition to her supporting role to top management. 

Prior to her role in Bureau Veritas, Mette worked at the Royal Danish Embassy in Washington DC, US and at the Royal Danish Embassy in Hanoi, Vietnam. Mette holds a master’s degree in political science from the University of Copenhagen. Additionally, Mette has an executive MBA in Shipping and Logistics from Copenhagen Business School (CBS).

Katrine Zujeva

Katrine is a bright minded professional of market research, analysis and strategy development. She brings to the table several years of experience working at Dorian LPG in LPG market research and VLGC shipping market forecasting, propane and butane supply and demand algorithms as well as Steam Crackers and PDH plants production margins benchmarking to the commercial pricing strategy of LPG in US Gulf, Far and South East Asia. 

An aspiring younger mind who has graduated from the International Shipping and Trade bachelor program at CBS in 2023. She strives for a creation and maintenance of all support systems necessary to attract and promote female professionals within maritime industry whether at the beginning or further in their careers. Katrine actively promotes inclusivity, equality and networking within the community.

Julie Østerberg Jakobsen

Board member 2025-2027

Julie is a driven and dynamic marketing professional with over 20 years of experience in international B2B marketing. Her maritime marketing journey began at Logimatic, where she played a key role in promoting the globally adopted SERTICA software—gaining valuable insight into the digital tools that power modern shipping operations. Following RINA’s acquisition of SERTICA, Julie now leads digital marketing initiatives for the platform as part of her role at RINA. In her current position, she is responsible for setting the marketing strategy and driving high-quality lead generation. Julie brings deep expertise in digital marketing, brand positioning, content creation, team leadership, and maritime digitalization. She holds a master’s degree in International Business Economics from Aalborg University.

Duygu Sakin

Duygu is an innovative and versatile professional specialising in project management, process optimisation, and stakeholder engagement. Holding a Master’s degree in Management of Creative Business Processes from CBS, with a minor in Design, Business, and Strategy from KADK, she combines creative insight with analytical precision. Her career spans roles in global organisations like DFDS, Nets, and Gorillas Technologies, where she is renowned for designing innovative solutions, optimising systems, and driving operational efficiency. By integrating a strategic approach into her work, Duygu ensures impactful alignment of business operations with overarching objectives, delivering sustainable results.

She holds a Master’s in Work and Organisational Psychology from Erasmus University Rotterdam and a Bachelor’s in Psychology from Royal Holloway, University of London. She currently heads Talent at ATLANT 3D, where she partners with executives to drive performance, engagement, and meaningful growth. Known for her sharp thinking, agility, and instinct for connecting people, Ligita also mentors women through the Professional Women’s Network Copenhagen and is passionate about building inclusive, high-impact workplaces.
